BENCHMARK 1500, 2000

AERCO's high efficiency Benchmark boilers are designed for condensing application in any closed loop hydronic system. It delivers unmatched burner modulation to match energy input directly to fluctuating system loads to yield the highest possible seasonal efficiency. And no other product packs as much capacity into such a small footprint.

To minimize emissions, the Benchmark boilers are fitted with a low NOx burner whose emissions will meet the most stringent NOx and CO requirements. The fully modulating burner also maintains AERCO standards for energy efficiency, longevity, reliability and construction quality.

Benchmark boilers comes standard with AERCO’s Patent Pending, Oxygen Level (O2) monitoring system. This monitoring system, designed to display the O2 level directly on the unit in real time, can also be remotely monitored via Modbus giving the customer the ability to measure the emissions level and fuel economy of the boiler without traditional combustion calibration devices.

The Benchmark boilers can be used as an inpidual unit or in modular arrangements and offers selectable modes of operation. In addition to controlling the boiler according to a constant set point, indoor/outdoor reset schedule or 4-20mA signal, one or more units can be integrated via Modbus communications protocol. For boiler plants ranging from two to eight boilers, AERCO’S built-in Boiler Management Sequencer* can be utilized. For heating plants greater than 8 boilers, AERCO’s ACS (AERCO Control System) provides the right solution. Likewise, Benchmark systems can be easily integrated with a facility-wide Energy Management or Building Automation System.

Reliability

First introduced in 1997, the Benchmark boiler is one of the first high-efficiency products available in the U.S. The market leader for the last decade, several thousand Benchmark units have been installed throughout North America and have continued to operate flawlessly season after season. Their performance proven reliability can be credited to:

Superior Construction Materials
A new 439 stainless steel heat exchanger offers even longer life and improves longevity with a simplified design that has only two moving parts.

Advanced Design and Components
AERCO’s patented air/fuel delivery system and fully modulating burner reduces cycling losses, as well as wear and tear.

Warranty
AERCO stands behind its products. The heat exchanger in the Benchmark boilers has a 10-year full (non-prorated) warranty.

Installation Advantages

Venting Versatility
Benchmark products provide a number of venting options. Sidewall, through-the-roof, and ducted combustion capabilities (direct vent), approved for venting with Polypropylene, or AL29-4C materials, are all available and provide broad installation flexibility and savings.

Space-saving Design
All Benchmark products are delivered as a single, fully assembled unit. Its small footprint, doorway size, and quiet operation make it ideal for both new construction and retrofit applications.

Zero Side Clearance
The redesigned Benchmark can be serviced via the front or top of the boiler, as well as the side. This flexibility allows units to be configured side-by-side.

Environmental Advantages

The Greenspec® Listed Benchmark boilers are perfect for “green” designs. Their small footprint, flexible venting/piping options, high efficiency, and lower operating costs can help facilities earn LEED points. Benchmark has been designed with environmental advantages:

Omonitoring system
Benchmark units are available with AERCO’s proprietary O2 monitoring system, which displays the oxygen level directly on the C-More controller in real time. It can be monitored via Modbus, so customers can measure emission levels and fuel combustion efficiency to maximize fuel economy.

Low NOx burner
Benchmark boilers are fitted with a low NOx burner whose emissions consistently meet the highest regulatory standards. Ultra low NOx (9 ppm or less) calibrations are available.

Advanced Controls

C-More
Efficiency and operation is further optimized via the C-More Touch Screen Control System. Intuitive, advanced, and simple to operate, C-More combine’s temperature and operating controls, combustion safeguards and fault enunciator functions – all at your fingertips! Benefits include:

  • Simplifies diagnostic troubleshooting
  • Full integration with BAS and EMS systems
  • Supports remote monitoring and control
  • Ensures fail-safe boiler operation (if external building controls fail).

Remote Data Collection
AERCO’s remote data collection continually monitors the internal operations of your AERCO equipment, scanning performance parameters and potential fault risks. This information, transmitted via Internet, is collected and evaluated at our data center. Our data center has the capability to monitor performance trends and fault occurrences. Future capabilities include early warnings before faults occur and email alerts to the user.

Boiler Management System
Benchmark boilers can be used as an inpidual unit or in modular arrangements and offers selectable modes of operation. In addition to controlling the boiler according to a constant set point, indoor/outdoor reset schedule or 4-20mA signal, one or more units can be integrated via Modbus communications protocol. For boiler plants ranging from 2-8 boilers, AERCO’S built-in Boiler Management Sequencer can be utilized. For heating plants greater than 8 boilers, AERCO’s ACS (AERCO Control System) provides the right solution. Likewise, Benchmark systems can be easily integrated with a facility-wide Energy Management or Building Automation System.

OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES

AM Contractor Kit

The AM Series Boiler/Water Heater Contractor’s Kit was created with utility and convenience in mind. The Contractor’s Kit contains the most commonly requested parts, packaged in a rugged, padded carrying case for easy storage and use on the job. One Contractor’s Kit will service every size of AM; there is no need to carry multiple sets of parts for the same product line. This space-saving kit can be kept on a service truck and be used on every AM job site. The kit includes a bill of materials with illustrations for easy identification and kit replenishment.

AM Installation Kit

To help you install your new AM Series boiler or water heater, AERCO has compiled everything you need into one, convenient place, our AM Installation Kits. These kits eliminate the need to separately purchase all near-equipment piping components as well as remove any guesswork regarding which size piping is appropriate for your project. You’ll have all the components you need at your fingertips to get your AM unit installed quickly and properly so it operates at peak performance.

AM Series Cascade Manager

The AM Series Cascade Manager is a simple tool that will maximize the performance of a blank of AM Boilers or Water Heaters. The Cascade Manager is designed specifically to work with the AM Series control system.

Constant Speed Pumps

These kits include a circuit setter which allows for setting flow rates that meet the minimum allowable boiler flow rate and do not exceed the maximum. Pump Kits 99127-1/-3/-5 are in-line and permanently lubricated for ease of maintenance with a cast iron body and electrical requirement of 115V/1ph/60Hz. Pump Kits 99208-1 and 99208-2 incorporate back-pull-out design which allows service without disturbing the piping; cast iron body and electrical requirement of 115V/208-230V/1ph/60Hz.

Hydraulic Separator

These hydraulic separators establish primary-secondary piping for AM Series boiler applications. Primary-secondary piping de-couples the boiler loop from the system loop — making it independent from system loop pressure fluctuations associated with opening/closing of zone valves or 3-way valves.

Sentinel Products

Compatible with all materials found in a hydronic loop, these chemicals offer overall protection of a heating system from sludge, scale, corrosion, and freeze conditions.
